Correction â safe-search figures are being re-measured
In August 2026 we found that our safe-search detection was checking the wrong hostnames for three search engines â Ecosia, Yandex and Brave. Ecosia's in particular pointed at an address that doesn't exist, so it could never be recorded as enforced no matter which resolver was tested, which held every provider's score down.
The content-blocking percentages below are unaffected, but the safe-search percentages came from that faulty code and should not be relied on until we publish a re-run. The detection has been fixed. We would rather flag this than leave numbers up that we can't stand behind.
