1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using DNS Filter Test ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

DNS Filter Test provides a web-based tool for testing DNS filtering effectiveness across various DNS providers. Our service includes:

• DNS resolution testing for various domains
• Safe search enforcement verification
• Performance comparison of DNS providers
• Paid test quotas for unlimited testing
• Test history storage and export features (paid feature)

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account using OAuth providers (Google, GitHub). You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Ensuring your account information is accurate
• Notifying us of any unauthorized use

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to overwhelm our servers or infrastructure
• Use automated tools beyond reasonable limits
• Test illegal or harmful content
• Interfere with other users' use of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

5. Purchases and Payments

We offer paid features including test quotas and test history storage:

• All payments are processed securely through Paddle
• Prices are clearly displayed before purchase
• Test quotas do not expire once purchased
• Test history access is a one-time purchase
• All sales are final unless otherwise specified

6. Refund Policy

All purchases are processed by Paddle. You have consumer rights regarding cancellations and refunds as outlined below.

14-Day Cancellation Right

As a consumer, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of the transaction date without providing a reason. This applies to both test quotas and test history features, subject to the exceptions below.

Test Quotas

• Full refund available within 14 days if no DNS tests have been performed
• Once you begin using your test quotas, the digital content exception applies
• Unused test quotas may be eligible for partial refund at Paddle's discretion

Test History & Export Feature

• Full refund available within 14 days if the feature has not been activated
• Once test history data has been stored or exported, the digital content exception applies
• No refund available after you have benefited from the service

Digital Content Exception

Your right to cancel does not apply once you have started using the digital services (performing DNS tests, storing test history, or exporting data). This is because you have begun to acquire and benefit from the digital content.

Refund Processing

• Refunds are processed within 14 days of approval
• Refunds are made to your original payment method
• No additional fees are charged for legitimate refunds
• Beyond the 14-day period, refunds are at Paddle's sole discretion

Refund Restrictions

Refunds may be refused in cases of fraud, abuse, or manipulative behavior. This does not affect your consumer rights for products that are defective, not as described, or unfit for purpose.

How to Request a Refund

To request a cancellation or refund, contact us at dnsfiltertest@protonmail.com with your order details. We will process legitimate requests promptly or assist you in contacting Paddle directly.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee:

• Uninterrupted access to the Service
• Error-free operation
• Availability of all DNS providers at all times
• Accuracy of all test results

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DNS Filter Test shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Service interruptions or security breaches
• Inaccurate test results or DNS provider issues

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DNS Filter Test and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating this page and changing the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where DNS Filter Test operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
